When a businessman's daughter disappears in Mexico, FranÇois is sent to track her down. Why? She also has terrible luck and perhaps this shared trait might help to locate her. Assisted by private eye Campana (Depardieu), FranÇois' trail of destruction leads straight to hilarity.Synopsis - Compères, Les (1983) When her teenage son Tristan runs away, Christine gets in touch with two of her ex-boyfriends: FranÇois (Pierre Richard), a fragile neurotic, and Jean (Gerard Depardieu), a hard-edged journalist. Convincing both men that they are Tristan's true father, she sends these two incompatible characters to the South of France in search of their 'son'with neither FranÇois nor Jean aware they are searching for the same boy. In their second film together, Richard, Depardieu and director Veber demonstrate their impeccable comic talent to great success.Synopsis - Fugitifs, Les (1986) Gerard Depardieu is a bank robber recently released from prison and determined to go straight. When a trip to the bank is interupted by a moron robbing the joint and taking Gerard hostage, his life isn't exactly going how he planned. When Gerard is mistakenly assumed to be the thief and the duo are hunted by the cops, the moron's mute daughter comes into play and Gerard, rather than fight for his innocence, fights for the girl's safety.
