Synopsis
This highly anticipated romance actioner with a sci-fi background is helmed by A Chinese Odyssey Jeff Lau. With a $US10 million budget the film delivers massive CGI impact through two action packed 15 minute sequences between the cyborgs. The story is about de Ming a national secret; it is the first cybornetic organism, programmed with a sophisticated social conscience created by the Chines government. Without knowing its robotic identity, the villagers love the newcomer when it is sent to remote are for a test of its safety. De Ming undergoes a handful of challenges which mostly are solved with no trouble, except one. Su Mei a fellow officer falls for De Ming. For cyborgs love is a deadly virus among humans only. A confrontation so crucial that turns everything upside down is about to begin another cyborg K-88 disappears after suffering a neural meltdown. Together De Ming and its guardian Xu are hunting down the malfunctioning K-88.
