Synopsis
The incredible true story of one of the greatest fighters in history, Risen is an inspirational biopic covering the struggles and triumphs in the life of boxer Howard Winstone. Born to poverty in a Welsh mining town, Winstone dreamed of becoming a boxer from a young age. But when he loses three fingers in an industrial accident the dream is all but over. Through sheer determination Winstone trains, with the help of his father, to become one of the UKs most successful featherweights, winning 61 out of 67 bouts and eventually becoming champion of Britain and Europe. Risen dramatises the remarkable journey.
